Pocket Informant for ChatGPT lets you view and create your calendar events, tasks, projects and notes by chatting in ChatGPT. It connects to your Informant Sync account, so changes show up in your Pocket Informant apps.
Before you start
What do I need?

What you can do
What can I ask it to do?
Check your schedule and tasks, for example: "How many tasks do I have for tomorrow?"
Add tasks, for example: "Add task clean bathroom at 3:00 p.m. tomorrow."
Add calendar events, for example: "Create a meeting on my calendar for tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. at Chili's."
Add notes to events (see below).
Create notes, for example: "Create a note in Pocket Informant called Book Idea..."
Search your calendar for events and tasks, and search your notes.
Ask when you have meetings so you can schedule around them.
How do I check my tasks for a day?
Ask in plain language, such as "How many tasks do I have for tomorrow?" ChatGPT scans your calendar and tells you what's due.
How do I add a task?
Tell ChatGPT the task and when it's due, such as "Add task clean bathroom at 3:00 p.m. tomorrow." ChatGPT adds it to your calendar. You can then open Pocket Informant (for example, Pocket Informant for web) and see it listed with your other tasks for that day.
How do I add an event?
Describe the event, such as "Create a meeting on my calendar for tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. at Chili's." If ChatGPT needs more information, like how long the meeting is, it asks. Once you answer, it creates the event.
Can I put notes and ideas in an event?
Yes. Add what you want in the notes section when you ask for the event. For example, ask for a meeting with ideas on minimizing a budget for a local small business in the notes, and ChatGPT creates the event with those ideas filled in. Since it's ChatGPT, you can use its ideas and writing in what you add to your calendar.
Can I create a note?
Yes. Ask ChatGPT to create a note in Pocket Informant and give it a title and what to include. You can use ChatGPT's dictate button to speak the request when an idea strikes while you're working on something else. For example, ask for a book idea note with a premise, main characters, plot twists and an ending, and ChatGPT writes it up. Open your notes in Pocket Informant to see it.
Can it find things I've already added?
Yes. You can search your calendars for events and tasks, and search for notes.
Syncing and accounts
Will what I create in ChatGPT show up in my Pocket Informant apps?
Yes. The connection is two-way through Informant Sync, so changes made in ChatGPT appear in Pocket Informant on iOS, iPadOS, Android, macOS and Web. You can start in ChatGPT and finish on your phone, Mac or the web. Pocket Informant stays your source of truth.
Does this replace my Pocket Informant app?
No. It's an extra way to use Pocket Informant. It doesn't replace any of the apps.
Which calendars does it work with?
Your existing Pocket Informant connections (Google, Outlook / Exchange, Apple and Toodledo) carry through, so there's nothing new to set up.
Do I need a paid account?
Yes, you need a paid subscription to the Pocket Informant app.
Is my data private and secure?
The app connects to Informant Sync over a secure, authorized (OAuth) connection. You can disconnect at any time. The privacy policy explains what data is accessed, how it's used (only to fulfill your requests), who it's shared with and how long it's kept. You can view our full privacy policy here.
