How Do I Use Projects for My Tasks?

Projects in Pocket Informant help you organize tasks that are working toward the same goal. Think of a Project like a folder that keeps related tasks together.

For example, if you're planning a vacation, you could create a Vacation Planning Project and add tasks such as:

  • Book the hotel
  • Renew passport
  • Create a packing list
  • Arrange pet care
  • Confirm flight times

Instead of having these tasks scattered throughout your task list, the Project keeps them organized in one place.

Projects and Syncing

Each Project in Pocket Informant can have its own sync setting. This allows you to choose which supported task sync service should be used for that Project.

Tasks assigned to the Project will use the Project's selected sync service.

If you want a task to sync through a particular service, make sure the task is assigned to a Project that uses that sync service.

Important: Projects with their sync service set to None will not sync.

Viewing Project Progress

Pocket Informant also includes a Project Dashboard that gives you an at-a-glance look at your Project and its progress.

The dashboard provides useful statistics about the Project, making it easier to see how things are moving along without having to review every task individually.
